Les Percussions de Strasbourg's instrument research workshop is a hive of creativity, engaged in experimentation and the exploration of combinative art forms, producing completely new instruments, for example the famous "sixen", a percussion instrument comprising one hundred and nine different metallic sounds, specially designed by Xenakis.
